Cash for Used Cars in Surrey

Have a running car you no longer need? Lower Mainland Scrap Recycling Center considers used cars, trucks, vans and SUVs from owners in Surrey. Tell us about the vehicle and its condition so we can assess it and discuss an offer.

You can also send an online enquiry if you are looking to buy a used vehicle. We do not have a showroom for browsing cars. Start with the enquiry form so we can understand what you need.

Sell a Used Vehicle You No Longer Need

You may be replacing the family car, reducing the number of vehicles at home or moving away from Surrey. A work van or pickup may also become unnecessary when your business changes.

You can ask for an assessment without preparing a public advertisement or arranging a series of viewing appointments first. Share the vehicle details and explain why you are considering selling. We will discuss whether it suits our buying requirements and what the next steps would involve.

An enquiry is a starting point. It does not commit you to selling, and an initial description needs to be checked before a transaction is completed. Ask questions about the offer, collection and payment arrangements before making your decision.

Used Cars, Vans, Trucks and SUVs We Consider

Everyday Cars

We consider enquiries for sedans, hatchbacks, wagons and other passenger vehicles. Include the year, make, model, mileage and general condition. Explain whether you use the car regularly or whether it has been parked for a while.

Family SUVs and Vans

For an SUV or family van, tell us about seating, mechanical condition and known problems. Clear photos of the exterior and interior help show how the vehicle has been used. Mention damaged doors, warning lights and any features that no longer work.

Work Trucks and Commercial Vans

For a work vehicle, describe its use, mileage and current condition. Tell us about fitted equipment, modifications or damage that may affect assessment. If you are enquiring on behalf of a business, make clear who has authority to agree to the sale.

Older Vehicles With Known Faults

A used vehicle does not need to be perfect to be considered. Be open about mechanical faults, body damage or repairs that are due. If the vehicle no longer runs and your main need is collection, visit our scrap car removal page.

What Helps Us Assess Your Used Car?

The most useful enquiry describes the vehicle as it is today. Start with the basic details, then explain anything a buyer would need to know before completing a purchase.

Mileage and condition help us understand the vehicle, but they do not tell the whole story. Service records, recent repairs, body condition and working features can provide useful context. You do not need a perfect folder of receipts to make an enquiry. Send what you have and explain what you know.

Avoid describing the car as problem free if you know there is a fault. An accurate account helps keep the discussion useful and reduces surprises when details are checked.

Photos should show the actual vehicle. A clear view from each side, the interior and any damaged areas is more helpful than a catalogue image of the same model.

How a Used Car Offer Is Discussed

There is no fixed amount that applies to every used car. The year, make, model, mileage and condition all contribute to the assessment. Completeness, known faults and collection requirements also matter.

A car that starts and drives may have a different potential use from a vehicle with major mechanical damage. We consider the details rather than assume that an older car should automatically be treated as scrap.

Ask how the offer was reached, whether further checks are needed and what collection arrangements are included. If the condition changes or you remove anything from the vehicle, tell us before proceeding. The agreed terms should describe the actual vehicle being sold.

How to Sell Your Used Car

Start With an Online Enquiry

Complete the form with your contact details and vehicle information. Include its Surrey location and any timing needs. Photos and a short description of the condition help us understand the enquiry.

Discuss the Vehicle and Offer

We may ask about mileage, faults, service history or missing information. Once the details are understood, we can discuss whether the vehicle is suitable and explain the next steps for an offer.

Confirm the Arrangements

Before agreeing, confirm how the vehicle will be checked, how payment will be handled and what paperwork is required. If collection is needed, discuss the location and access. Do not assume a date or payment method has been accepted until it is confirmed.

Complete the Agreed Sale

Remove your personal belongings and have the required documents ready. Keep the relevant records of the transaction and make sure you understand any remaining ownership steps.

Buying a Used Vehicle Through an Online Enquiry

If you are looking to buy a used car, send your enquiry through our website form. Tell us the type of vehicle you need, your approximate budget and any important requirements, such as passenger space or a work van layout.

A buying enquiry does not mean a matching vehicle is currently available. We do not publish a promise that every make, model or budget can be supplied. Ask about current options and the details of any specific vehicle before making arrangements.

There is no showroom for browsing vehicles. Any next steps are discussed through the enquiry process. Vehicle condition, documentation, availability and sale terms need to be clear before a purchase decision.

Preparing Your Vehicle Information

Write down the year, make, model and approximate mileage before you contact us. Note any warning lights, leaks, starting problems or recent repairs. If you have relevant records, keep them available for the discussion.

For a vehicle in an apartment parkade, explain the clearance and access rules if collection may be needed. For one parked at a workplace, check who can authorise access and when the collection area is available.

Enquiries from Whalley, Guildford, Newton and other Surrey neighbourhoods are assessed using the exact location and vehicle details. You can review our service areas before contacting us.

Ownership and Sale Records

Tell us if the vehicle is registered to someone else, belongs to a business or involves an estate. Those situations need the appropriate authority and process before a sale can proceed.

Our BC vehicle paperwork guide brings together practical preparation advice and official sources. It is a useful starting point, but the requirements for your actual transaction should be confirmed before completion.

Keep ownership information private when sending general enquiries. Do not post identification documents or personal registration details in public comments or photographs.

Used Car Questions

Do you buy cars that are still running?

Yes. We consider running vehicles as well as older cars with known faults. Send the year, make, model, mileage and condition so the vehicle can be assessed. A running car is not automatically treated as scrap simply because it is old or no longer needed.

Can I enquire about a high mileage car?

Yes. Include the mileage and explain how the vehicle currently runs. High mileage is one part of the assessment, alongside age, condition, maintenance information and known problems. We need the complete picture before discussing suitability or an offer.

Should I repair the car before asking for an offer?

You can enquire about the vehicle in its current condition. Tell us about the fault and any repair estimate you already have. There is no need to spend money solely to submit an enquiry. Consider any repair decision separately from the initial assessment.

Do you offer collection?

Collection can be discussed as part of the vehicle enquiry. Share the location, condition and access so we can explain the available arrangements and any applicable costs. A collection plan should be agreed before you treat the vehicle as ready to leave.

Can I browse cars at the address?

No showroom browsing is offered. Used car enquiries are handled online. Send the type of vehicle you are looking for through the website form, and discuss availability and the next steps before making any visit arrangements.

Do you accept business vehicles?

Business vehicle enquiries can be considered. Include the vehicle details and make clear who has authority to sell it. If there are several vehicles, list them separately so each condition and collection requirement can be understood.

Do you sell spare parts?

We do not sell parts. Our used vehicle enquiries concern complete vehicles and the appropriate sale process. Please do not submit parts requests through the vehicle form, as we cannot supply engines, panels or other individual components.

What if my used car no longer starts?

Tell us when it stopped running and what is known about the problem. You can still submit the details for assessment. Our vehicle removal service explains the additional access and collection questions for non running vehicles.
